Revolutionary Road
Almost everybody remembers the movie 'Titanic'. Especially the love story that was between Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet), which was really like a fantasy come true for new lovers swept away by their passion.
And now, finally they have a new movie together entitled 'Revolutionary Road'. Based from a novel by Richard Yates, which was a finalist for the National Book Award in 1962.
And as they were shooting a scene early in the morning around 3am, both of them were trying to find the connection that they had years ago when making the Titanic. Until someone played the song 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion, suddenly, just like magic Leonardo wraps Kate in his arms and she acts with it naturally. Like a chemistry that was heated up again, they finally make the scene.
The Hard Part was making the love scene work. Kate is now married to Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, who is the helmed director of this film. And Leonardo is her close friend. She felt a bit of uneasy when they have to make it with intense passion, she whispered to Leonardo, "This is too f---ing weird", and he said, "Oh, get over it.", so she reminded saying that, "You're my best friend and he's my husband."
The story focuses on Frank and April Wheeler, who gets married, have kids, goes to work scenario. But then Frank usually gets drunk from the stress and depression from his job, then goes to sleep with his co-worker. April then dreams about moving to Paris, expecting to have a better life.
It's really quite different from the Titanic, so be prepared for a different Jack and Rose story. It's complex and tough for both of them and you'll find it hard to know what happens as the story continues to roll on with the scenes.
